Police Beat June 2
Woman arrested: Jessica Costa, 37, of 502 Seventh St., Charleroi, was arrested last week by Charleroi Regional police for allegedly failing to furnish drug-free urine during a visit with probation officers at the Charleroi Borough building. She was arraigned before District Judge Larry Hopkins and released on her own recognizance.
Charges filed: Donald Jackson of 429 McKean Ave., Charleroi, was charged by Charleroi Regional police with burglary, simple assault, disorderly conduct, retaliation against witnesses or victims and harassment. He is accused of breaking into a home at 313 Maple Creek Road and assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Emily Stout, and Shawn Painter on Thursday. He also had been charged with assaulting Painter on May 6. Police said Jackson fled before officers arrived. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Larry Hopkins.
Drug, theft arrest: Christina Hartle, 42, of 211 Shady Ave., Charleroi, was charged Friday by Charleroi Regional police with retail theft and possession of a controlled substance after officers were called to Dollar Store for a retail theft. Police said she had two suspected Clonezapam pills in her purse. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Larry Hopkins.
Paraphernalia, disorderly charges: Jan Albert Aultz, 40 of 283 Eureka Hill Road, Jacobs Creek, was charged Wednesday by Rostraver police with possession of paraphernalia, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness after police say he was found May 16 passed out in his vehicle at the pumps at GetGo, Route 51 at Finley Road. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Charles Christner.
Drug charges: Robert Charles Marshall, 34, of 23 Elm St., Monessen, was charged Wednesday by Rostraver police with possession, delivery and possession with intent to deliver heroin, and fleeing or eluding police stemming from a Feb. 2 incident on Finley Road. The charges were filed at the office of District Judge Charles Christner.
Theft charged: Darryl D. Trinkala, 39, of 700 Louis Ave., Charleroi, was charged Wednesday by Rostraver police with retail theft after he allegedly stole $459.77 in merchandise, including 23 packages of Zyrtec, from Giant Eagle, Tri-County Plaza, on May 19. The charges were filed at the office of District Judge Joseph Dalfonso.
Assault charge: Kayla Lynn Hall, 19, of 1212 Locust St., Dickerson Run, was charged Wednesday by Rostraver police with simple assault and harassment. She is accused of assaulting another person at the Collinsburg fire hall on May 21. The charges were filed at the office of District Judge Charles Christner.
Theft, receiving charges: Aimee Susanne McGuire, 47, of 717 Rostraver St., Monessen, was charged Wednesday by Rostraver police with retail theft, receiving stolen property and theft by deception for allegedly stealing items from Lowe’s, 200 Sara Way, on May 8. The charges were filed at the office of District Judge Joseph Dalfonso.
Theft, trespass charges: Joyce Cole, 49, of 167 N. Main St., Washington, was charged Tuesday by South Strabane police with retail theft, criminal trespass and possession of paraphernalia after she allegedly stole items from Kohl’s, Strabane Square. She had been banned from the store. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Curtis Thompson.
Fugitive arrest: Bernette Moore, 36, of Washington, was taken into custody Saturday by state police during a traffic stop on West Chestnut Street as a fugitive from justice. She was wanted on a warrant obtained by Wheeling, W.Va., police. She was arraigned before District Judge Curtis Thompson and placed in Washington County Jail without bond, pending extradition to West Virginia.
Assault arrest: Derrick Price Sr., 47, of 17 W. Chestnut St., Washington, was arrested Tuesday by Washington police after he allegedly tried to punch Marlo Price, grazing her head. He also is accused of kicking and shoving her, as well as grabbing a knife and forcing her into a bathroom. He was arraigned before District Judge Ethan Ward and placed in Washington County Jail on $25,000 bond.
Arson arraignment: Marsina Matthews, 36, of 1024 Jefferson Ave., Washington, was arraigned Wednesday before District Judge Robert Redlinger on charges of arson, reckless endangerment and criminal mischief filed by Washington police. She is accused of setting a screen on fire at an apartment building at 670 Jefferson Ave., on May 8. She was released on $20,000 unsecured bond.
