In conjunction with Cecil Boy Scout Troop 1369 and the Cecil American Legion, state Rep. Jason Ortitay, R-South Fayette Township, is hosting a flag retirement ceremony June 10. The ceremony will be held at 7 p.m. in Cecil Park and is open to the public.

Local residents can bring worn U.S. flags to be respectfully and properly retired. For those not able to attend the ceremony, a flag drop-off box has been placed outside Cecil American Legion, 3323 Millers Run Road, Cecil. Cecil Park is located beside Cecil Municipal Building, 3599 Millers Run Road, Cecil.
