Morgan Twp. man accused of producing child porn indicted on federal charges
A Greene County man arrested by state police in April and accused of raping a young girl over a decade while producing child pornography was indicted Tuesday on federal charges, U.S. Attorney David Hickton said.
A federal grand jury in Pittsburgh indicted Eric J. Stull, 48, of Morgan Township, on charges of production, distribution and possession of material depicting the sexual exploitation of a minor.
The 41-count indictment alleges Stull produced 41 pornographic videos involving a child from May 8, 2006 to Dec. 26, 2015. The indictment also states he shared a video on the internet using a file-sharing service in July 2015. State police obtained a search warrant April 28 and raided Stull’s home at 44 A St. before arresting him hours later while working in the Waynesburg area.
Police allege the abuse began when the girl was a toddler and continued for nearly a decade. If convicted in federal court, Stull faces a maximum sentence of life imprisonment for the production of child pornography and up to a $10.25 million fine.
State police, FBI and the Greene County district attorney’s office conducted the investigation that led to the federal indictment.
Stull faces trial in Greene County on 35 felony counts each of rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and unlawful contact with a minor, along with 31 felony counts of corruption of a minor. He also faces two counts each of felony charges of filming a child engaged in a sex act, disseminating child sex acts, child pornography and criminal use of a communication facility, along with two misdemeanor charges of disseminating explicit material.
Stull is being held at Greene County jail on $750,000 bond.
