Police beat June 8
Two charged: Adam Snatchko Jr., 20, of 502 Giffin Ave., Canonsburg, and Tonaiya Carr, 18, of 165 Smith St., Canonsburg, were charged Friday by Canonsburg police with simple assault and harassment after they allegedly assaulted Charles Horner last August at 209 Perry Como Ave. Snatchko also was charged with criminal mischief for allegedly damaging a vehicle owned by Horner’s mother, Nancy Ferrari. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
Theft charge: Kelley Cowden, 31, of 12 Lincoln St., Bulger, was charged Friday by Canonsburg police with theft and retail theft by under-ringing. She is accused of discounting an order by 50 percent and pocketing the rest of the money while working at Hogfathers, 113 Cavasina Drive, April 30. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
Assault charge: Leland R. Samples, 39, of 221 Valley View Terrace, was charged Friday with simple assault and harassment by Canonsburg police. He is accused of throwing a fan at Amy Moorhouse May 27, injuring her lower leg. He also is accused of grabbing her by the arms. Charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
Theft charge: Isaiah E. Galloway, 24, of 870 Addison St., Washington, was charged Friday with theft of services by state police. He is accused of failing to pay his meal bill at Denny’s, 1895 W. Chestnut St., Canton, April 6. The charge was sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
Forgery, theft charges: Jonathan Lee Logan, 46, of Steubenville, Ohio, was charged last week by state police with forgery, theft, theft by deception and bad checks after he allegedly wrote bad checks for purchases he made at CGI Industry, 1215 Henderson Ave., Canton, March 10. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
Firearms charges: David D. Jeffries, 25, of 432 Knox Ave., Monessen, is charged by city police with illegal possession of a firearm as a person on state parole, possessing a firearm without a license, receiving stolen property and marijuana possession, court records show. Police accuse Jeffries of having a stolen .40-caliber handgun when officers went to the 600 block of Reed Avenue about 11:40 p.m. Saturday to investigate a report of a large fight involving a gun threat. He is free on $50,000 bond set by District Judge Helen M. Kistler.
Threats arrest: Stephen Mack, 56, of Daytona, Fla., was arrested Monday afternoon by Monongahela police on charges of terroristic threats, unauthorized use of a vehicle and driving under the influence of alcohol. He is accused of taking a vehicle owned by Crissy Burnworth of New Eagle without permission. He also allegedly threatened to kill her and her children. Police said they later found him with the car at a convenience store on Dry Run Road. He was taken to Monongahela Valley Hospital, where blood was drawn to determine alcohol content. He was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.
Building burglarized: Tools were reported stolen from the former Club 40, 3390 W. Chestnut St., June 1, North Franklin police said. The building is being renovated to open under a new name. Police said a maroon pickup truck was seen in surveillance video.
Hit-and-run: A resident of the 100 block of Kuchinic Street, Venetia, told police Saturday someone hit his vehicle while it was parked next to his residence.
Camera equipment taken: Police said $1,100 in camera equipment was reported missing June 6 from the soccer field in Peterswood Park.
Man jailed: Kenneth R. Warnick, 33, of 932 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, is charged by township police with simple assault and harassment over accusations he punched Anthony Verdiglinoe in the face about 4:15 a.m. Sunday at 107 McGee Court, court records show. Warnick is in Westmoreland County jail on $10,000 bond set by District Judge Helen M. Kistler.
Threat alleged: Teon D. Stitch, 23, of 10 Reed Ave., Monessen, is charged by township police with making terroristic threats and trespassing over allegations he threatened to kill Bralee Quigley via text message and attempted to break into her residence in Rostraver Apartments about 4:45 p.m. Saturday, court records show. He is free on $10,000 bond after being arraigned before District Judge Helen M. Kistler.
Money stolen: Morgan Vucelik of Glen Dale, W.Va., told South Strabane police Monday she mistakenly left her purse at Max & Erma’s restaurant on Washington Road. She notified management, who said it was put in a locked area. When she retrieved her purse, she discovered $100 was stolen, police said.
Driver faces charges: Jessica Gomez, 28, of 496 Fayette St., Washington, faces charges including DUI, following a minor two-vehicle crash Monday in the 200 block of Jefferson Avenue. Washington police said she was slurring her words and had difficulty standing. Police said they found paraphernalia in her purse, including empty stamp bags they believe had contained heroin. She also had no license or registration for the vehicle. Gomez was taken to Washington Hospital, where police said blood was drawn to determine her level of intoxication.
Medication stolen: George Ledbetter, 245 Lincoln Terrace, told Washington police Monday two bottles of prescription medication was stolen from a cabinet in his home.
