Sex offender kills ex-girlfriend after break-up, police say
BEAVER (AP) – Police in Western Pennsylvania say a registered sex offender killed his girlfriend who had recently broken up with him, fled with a gun, and has since been taken into custody in Kentucky.
Authorities found 30-year-old Addaleigh Huzyak dead in her Beaver apartment after she failed to show up for work on Monday.
Police say Edward Baker Jr. killed her Sunday night.
Police had been searching for Baker, who was believed to be in another state. He was arrested early Tuesday. Details of the arrest weren’t immediately clear.
Beaver County District Attorney David Lozier says an autopsy is planned for Huzyak’s body. He declined to say how she died other than to say it was a complex crime scene.
