Gray Township bridge to close for reconstruction
Reconstruction of Greene County Bridge No. 98 on Church Street in Gray Township is set to begin July 5.
The bridge replacement project will cause a small traffic detour for about three months. The project is expected to be completed by Sept. 30.
Motorists may use the Graysville Volunteer Fire Department and Unity Presbyterian Church parking lots and the township bridge near the fire station to navigate around the closure.
The construction contract was awarded to J-5 Construction from Houston for $459,000. Greene County funds are being used to replace the bridge.
The bridge, which spans Grays Creek, was built in 1948 and has a 6-ton weight limit.
