Saw stolen: Edward Spoharski of Custom Care Landscaping of Canonsburg told Canonsburg police a STIHL quick-cut concrete saw was stolen from a storage unit at 311 Valley Road.

Assault arrest: William Thomas Hartzell 41, of 76 Fulton St., North Franklin, was arrested Thursday night by township police on charges of simple assault, harassment and criminal mischief after he allegedly assaulted his wife, Christina Hartzell, at their home. He also reportedly broke her glasses. He was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.

Theft charge: Lisa B. Budz, 47, of Cranberry Township, was charged by South Strabane police with retail theft for allegedly stealing items valued at $139 from Walmart, Trinity Point, Tuesday. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Trailer stolen: A black, 14-foot trailer owned by Merrilees Electric of New Castle was reported stolen Thursday from a vacant lot in the 1000 block of Route 19, South Strabane police said.

Vehicle damaged: Stephen Naylor, 962 Addison St., told Washington police Friday vandals damaged the windshield of his cousin’s vehicle that was parked near his home.

Game player stolen: Tammy Gray, 195 Grove Ave., told Washington police Thursday her PlayStation 3 game console was stolen from her home and pawned at a resale store. Police said charges are pending against a suspect.

Tools stolen: Ryan Dupaul, 550 Shirls Ave., told Washington police Wednesday tools valued at $20,000 to $25,000 were stolen from his work truck.
