Assault arrest: Dylan Simpson, 24, of Washington, was arrested Monday by state police on charges of simple assault and harassment stemming from a reported physical altercation with Tiffany Travis, also of Washington. Simpson was arraigned before District Judge David Mark and released. Police said Travis will be charged by summons with harassment.

iPad stolen: Brandon Yates of 990 Fayette St. told Washington police Monday his iPad Touch and a DVD player were stolen from his home.

Possession charges: Charles A. Rush, 31, of 25 Gardner St., Avella, was charged with one count each of possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after state police stopped his vehicle Thursday at 1300 Jefferson Avenue for an expired registration. Officers said they smelled marijuana as they approached the vehicle. Rush allegedly admitted marijuana, a grinder and a glass bowl belonged to him. His passenger, Blake S. Grizzel, 21, of Wellsburg, W.Va., was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia for allegedly having a grinder in his shirt pocket. Charges will be sent from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.

Television stolen: James Ferguson of 550 Broad St. told Washington police a 32-inch television was stolen from his home Monday.

Money stolen: Kyle Gluzier of 100 S. Franklin Ave. told Washington police Monday that $515 was stolen from his apartment.
