Canonsburg police are investigating a home invasion early Wednesday morning.

Ray Lambenfeld, of Perry Como Ave., reported two men and a woman knocked on his apartment door around 1:15 a.m. When he opened the door, the three allegedly pushed their way in and forced him to the ground, asking for money and pills.

Lambenfeld said one of the men told him he had a gun and would use it if Lambenfeld got off the floor.

The three allegedly took a can full of coins and Lambenfeld’s home telephone before fleeing.

A neighbor who saw the suspects circling the apartment before the incident and who saw them leave told police the trio were white. Lambenfeld said they were black.
