Numerous people recently appeared in Washington County Court on criminal charges. Appearing before Judge Valarie Costanzo were:
Tyler W. Large, 21, 81 Colvin Road, Charleroi; driving under the influence; charged July 5; six months in the intermediate punishment program, seven days on electronic home monitoring, 12-month driver’s license suspension, $500 fine and restitution.
James M. Rice III, 26, 64 Lincoln St., Cokeburg; driving under the influence; charged Sept. 6; sentence – six months in the intermediate punishment program, 30 days on electronic home monitoring, $750 fine, 12-month driver’s license suspension and 12 months on ignition interlock.
Shawn R. Myers, 44, 129 S. Main St., Houston; DUI; charged Aug. 14; sentence – six months in the intermediate punishment program, 60 days of electronic home monitoring, $750 fine, 12-month driver’s license suspension and 12 months on ignition interlock.
John E. Ardeno Jr., 47, 1303 Cross Creek Road, Burgettstown; DUI; charged Aug. 6; sentence – 90 days to 5 years in jail, $1,500 fine, 18-month driver’s license suspension and 12 months on ignition interlock.
Alma M. Scott, 36, 2329 Avella Road, Avella; DUI; charged May 5, 2015; sentence – 12 months of probation, five years in the intermediate punishment program, six months of electronic home monitoring, $1,500 fine, 18-month driver’s license suspension, 12 months on ignition interlock and restitution.
Andrew J. Starinsky, 64, 208 ½ W. Grant St., Houston; DUI; charged Oct. 16; sentence – six months in the intermediate punishment program, 60 days of electronic home monitoring, $750 fine, 12-month driver’s license suspension and 12 months on ignition interlock.
Ian M. Starkey, 21, 54 Willock Road, Fredericktown; DUI; charged July 5; sentence – six months in the intermediate punishment program, 10 days of electronic home monitoring, $500 fine and 12-month driver’s license suspension.
Alan S. Gardner, 56, 141 Wisebecker Lane, Monongahela; DUI and accident damage to unattended vehicle or property; charged Oct. 5; sentence – six months in the intermediate punishment program, 60 days of electronic home monitoring $1,050 fine, 12-month driver’s license suspension and 12 months on ignition interlock.
Jesse N. Dutton, 25, 971 Beham Ridge Road, Claysville; DUI; charged Sept. 1, 2013; sentence – six months in the intermediate punishment program, 10 days of electronic home monitoring, $1,000 fine and 12-month driver’s license suspension.
Thomas A. Snow, 59, 226 East 14th St., New York, N.Y.; DUI; charged Aug. 22; sentence – six months of probation and a $300 fine.
Debra A. Gillespi, 50, 725 McKee Road, Washington; DUI; charged Aug. 25; sentence – 48 hours in jail, six months in the intermediate punishment program, 90 days of electronic home monitoring, $1,500 fine and 12-month driver’s license suspension.
Gregory C. Wise, 49, 2955 Taft St., Washington; DUI; charged Sept. 7; sentence – six months in the intermediate punishment program, 10 days of electronic home monitoring, $500 fine and 12-month driver’s license suspension.

Matthew S. Hartford, 40, 216 McKean Ave., Charleroi; insurance fraud; charged Feb. 4, 2015; sentence – two years of probation and 100 hours of community service.
Anthony R. Stockdale, 40, 562 Braden St., Waynesburg; simple assault; charged April 26, 2015; sentence – 6 to 23 months in jail and no contact with victim.
Appearing before Judge Gary Gilman were:
Kenneth L. Lampenfeld, 23, 650 Braddock Ave., Monesson; unsworn falsification and conspiracy to commit retail theft; charged Sept. 8, 2014; sentence – 6 to 23 months in jail, 12 months of probation, restitution and no contact with Walmart.
Timothy Herschaft, 48, 211 Dicio St., Canonsburg; theft by unlawful taking; charged Jan. 6; sentence – 18 months of probation and restitution.
Brenen C. Greer, 28, of Canonsburg; possession of drug paraphernalia; charged Jan. 21; sentence – 12 months of probation and 50 hours of community service.
Jerry L. Frazee, 54, 43 Sycamore St., Brownsville; disorderly conduct and harassment; charged March 1; sentence – 12 months of probation, $300 fine and no contact with victim.
John J. Galayda, 38, 375 Locust Ave., Washington; driving without a license; charged Sept. 11; sentence – $200 fine.
Jaison T. Johnson, 32, 1312 Franklin St., Pittsburgh; false identification to law enforcement officer; charged June 4, 2015; sentence – 12 months of probation.
Lynette Dalla Valle, 54, 331 1st St., Donora; possession of drug paraphernalia; charged Oct. 17; sentence – 12 months of probation.
Thomas B. Kencec, 23, 204 N. Haft St., Houston; possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding; charged Feb. 20; sentence – 12 months of probation and $179.50 fine.
Thomas W. Jensen, 40, 472 Highland Ave., North Charleroi; false identification to law enforcement officer, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving without a license; charged Nov. 2; sentence – 12 months of probation, 60 days on electronic home monitoring and $500 fine.
Brendan M. Hensler, 41, 37 Hidden Valley Drive, Finleyville; theft by unlawful taking; charged Sept. 11, 2014; sentence – 12 months of probation and restitution.
Ian M. Eshbaugh, 25, 35 E. Hallam Ave., Washington; possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia; charged Aug. 28, 2014; sentence – 12 months of probation and 75 hours of community service.
Nathaniel Eisel, 19, 108 1/2 W. Wyle Ave., Washington; corruption of minors, criminal conspiracy to commit corruption of minors, possession of controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, public drunkenness and purchase of alcoholic beverage by minor; charged April 9; sentence – 18 months of probation and no contact with Washington Crown Center.
Sean P. Cowell, 44, 331 First St., Donora; possession of drug paraphernalia; charged Oct. 17; sentence – 12 months of probation.
Appearing before Judge John DiSalle was:
Caressa D. Garrison, 26, 242 Kings Road, Washington; retail theft; charged Jan. 26; sentence – 23 months in the restrictive treatment program, 100 hours of community service, restitution and no contact with Kohl’s.
Several people were admitted to the Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition program for first offenses. If they successfully complete the program, they can petition the court to have their record expunged:
Trish L. Dessify, 37, Cokeburg, was admitted for six months for retail theft; charged Dec. 6; no contact with Dollar General.
Paula A. Dano, 50, 305 McNary St., Canonsburg, was admitted for 12 months for theft by unlawful taking; charged Jan. 11.
Alaina I. Black, 29, Charleroi, was admitted for 12 months for simple assault; charged March 26; no contact with victim.
Michael Florian, 37, 500 Sylvan Drive, Washington, was admitted for 12 months for theft by unlawful taking; charged Dec. 30; no contact with Sears and restitution.
William Kosinski, 38, 275 North Ave., Washington, was admitted for 12 months for materially false written statement and unsworn falsification to authorities; charged April 8, 2015.
Jordan Preteroti, 19, 184 Locust St., Muse, was admitted for 12 months for disorderly conduct and open lewdness; charged Dec. 3.
Michelle E. White, 44, 216 McKean Ave., Charleroi, was admitted for 12 months for fraud and theft by deception; charged Feb. 4, 2015.
