Wine tasting event to benefit library
WAYNESBURG – The annual Friends of the Bowlby Public Library Wine Tasting event will be held Sunday afternoon at Thistlethwaite Vineyards.
The fundraising event is designed to support the Eva K. Bowlby Public Library in Waynesburg with all proceeds going directly to the library.
The event will be from 1 to 5 p.m. at the winery located at 151 Thistlethwaite Lane in Jefferson Township.
Admission is free, and there will be many wines to taste, along with numerous vendors. The list of vendors that will be attending include Lardin House, Silpada Jewelry, Tupperware, 5 Kidz Kandy, Ruff Creek Crafts, DoTerra Oils, Tocara Jewelry, SHE Pop Up Boutique, American Judo Hapkido, Stained Glass, Fancy Scarves and many others. There will also be door prizes, raffles, a 50/50 raffle and live music by Bob Podish.
The contributions from the Friends group are instrumental in supporting the library including collections, computers and free public programs.
