Body found along Monongahela River appears to be suicide
DONORA – Investigators believe suicide was the cause of death of a Donora man whose body was discovered Tuesday along the Monongahela River in a remote location in Carroll Township.
Washington County Coroner Tim Warco said an official cause of death of Scott C. See, 47, was pending an autopsy.
Carroll police Chief Paul Brand said an acquaintance of See’s discovered the body about 5:45 near an industrial site along Route 837 just north of Donora.
“At this point, we don’t believe the general public or anyone else would be in harm’s way,” Brand said.
State police are handling the investigation.
See was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:39 p.m., Warco said.
