One patient was flown by medical helicopter from the scene of a two-vehicle accident in Centerville Sunday afternoon.

The accident was reported about 4 p.m. and involved a car and an SUV.

Chief Dave Pohill of Richeyville Volunteer Fire Company said one patient, an elderly man who’d been in the SUV, was taken by helicopter to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh with a possible heart attack.

Pohill said two others – a woman and a young boy, both of whom had been in the car – were transported to Monongahela Valley Hospital with injuries Pohill said were nonlife-threatening.

Pohill said state police, Brownsville Ambulance Service and Denbo-Vesta 6 Volunteer Fire Department also responded.
