PennDOT schedules Greene County work

The state Department of Transportation announced the tentative work schedule for Greene County roads this week.

Maintenance activities are conducted weather permitting. Motorists should drive with caution through all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring headlights, Greene County maintenance manager Jerry Simkovic said.

• Bridge replacement on state Route 1017 in Jefferson and Cumberland townships.

• Bridge flushing on various routes in the eastern half of the county.

• Shoulder grading on state Route 2026 in Franklin Township, and spray patching potholes on various routes in Center, Jackson, Franklin and Wayne townships.

• Base and drainage repairs on various routes on state Route 1017 in Cumberland Township, and drainage on state routes 3005 and 3008 in Springhill, Aleppo and Richhill townships.

• Crews will perform major slide repairs on state Route 3018 in Aleppo.

• Vegetation management will take place in Cumberland Township on state Route 1019.

• Secondary roadway mowing will take place on various routes in the county.

• State roads will be reviewed and signs will be updated, downed signs will be replaced and concerns addressed on various state roads throughout the county.
