Gun charge: Marquell Atkinson, 38, of 960 Pike Run Drive, Coal Center, is charged by borough police with possessing a firearm without a license, possession of a small amount of marijuana, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct, court records show. Police accuse Atkinson of having a handgun in his vehicle following a scuffle with police about 9:40 p.m. Friday at a Kwik Fill pump at Third and Wood streets. The scuffle followed Atkinson’s alleged refusal to obey police orders to turn down the volume of the music in his vehicle. He is free on $50,000 bond set by District Judge Larry Hopkins.

Vehicles damaged: A lawn tractor rolled down a hill near Town Park pool Sunday, coming to rest on two unoccupied vehicles. A landscaper told police he lost control of the tractor while cutting grass. No one was injured, and no charges were filed.

Harassment citation: Michael Cwiklinski of 120 Woodcrest Drive, Canonsburg, was cited for harassment in connection with a dispute with his wife Sunday in their home.

Man jailed: Kenneth Lee Hanning, 39, of 78 Pennsylvania Ave., Canton Township is charged by state police with two counts of harassment and one count of child endangerment. Police accuse Hanning of striking a boy in the chest when the boy tried to stop Hanning from assaulting the boy’s mother, Gwen Campbell, Sunday at Hanning’s residence. Hanning is in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond set by District Judge Larry Hopkins.

Police cruiser entered: Mark Carper, 27, of 450 Wisconsin St., Monongahela, is charged by city police with attempted theft, trespassing, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct, court records show. Police accuse Carper of getting inside a city police cruiser parked at the station at 449 W. Main St. about 11:15 a.m. Sunday and saying to an officer he “just wanted a place to sit” and, “If I wanted to take something, that shotgun would be gone.” Carper is in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond set by District Judge Larry Hopkins.

Automobile crash: Brittney N. Ringer, 31, of 905 Mary St., Langeloth, was cited for failure to maintain proper speed in connection with a two-vehicle crash Friday. According to township police, traffic had slowed on Hill Church Houston Road under Interstate 79 when Ringer’s car rear-ended an SUV driven by Judith Boggs of Washington. Ringer and Boggs were taken by ambulances to Canonsburg Hospital for suspected minor injuries.

Threat alleged: Kenneth M. George, 32, of 104 Park Ave., Bentleyville, is charged by state police with making terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment over allegations he threatened to shoot Janet and Charles Philp in the head about 6:10 p.m. Saturday at 83 Pigeon Creek Road, court records show. George is free on $25,000 bond set by District Judge Larry Hopkins.

Retail theft charge: Bonnie J. Yates, 44, of Leivasy, W.Va., was cited by township police for allegedly stealing $81 in merchandise from Walmart, Trinity Point, Friday.

Theft charge: Casey D. Cole, 24, of 2934 S Bridge Road, Buffalo Township, was charged by Washington police with theft by unlawful taking for allegedly stealing a $300 gaming console from her mother’s home at 195 Grove Avenue and selling it. Charges will be sent from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.

Disorderly charge: George Sadler, 50, of 57 McCarrell Ave., Washington, was cited by Washington police with disorderly conduct for allegedly pulling down his pants outside Washington Arbors apartments on North College Street.

Drug charges: Joseph W. Rasel, 54, of 304 Sugar Maple Circle, Washington, was charged with possession with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia and a first offense of driving under the influence after a Wednesday incident at 595 Jefferson Avenue. According to Washington police, officers found Rasel unconscious in his parked vehicle. They reported finding multiple stamp bags of suspected heroin, needles, pills and more than $8,400. Charges will be sent from District Judge Robert Redlinger.

Criminal mischief charge: George Gardner, 40, of 514 1/2 Chartiers St., Canonsburg, was charged with making terroristic threats and criminal mischief for a May 24 incident in Washington Hospital. According to Washington police, Gardner was a patient when he allegedly threatened staff and damaged about $4,000 of hospital property. Charges will be sent from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.

Theft charge: Jesse T. Knochell, 26, of 160 Marian Drive, McMurray, was charged by Washington police for allegedly taking his father’s lawn mower from 560 S. Main Street on May 23 and refusing to return it. A charge of theft by unlawful taking will be sent from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.

Brother jailed: Ryan Fonner, 23, of 616 Fayette St., Washington, was placed in Washington County jail Saturday for allegedly using a stun gun on his brother. According to Washington police, the brothers were engaged in a fistfight when it escalated and Ryan Fonner used the stun gun on Justin Fonner, who will face charges for allegedly striking Ryan Fonner with a chair. Ryan Fonner was arraigned before District Judge Larry Hopkins on a charge of simple assault and possessing offensive weapons. He was placed in jail on $25,000 bond.

PFA violation charge: David Y. Ebron, 34, unknown address, was charged with violating a protection-from-abuse order. According to Washington police, Ebron entered the home of his ex-girlfriend May 27 to retrieve personal belongings. A charge of indirect criminal contempt will be sent from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.

Harassment citation: Katherine Knight, 53, of 272 North Franklin St., Washington, will be cited for harassment for allegedly repeatedly contacting her sister, Darcie Knight of Washington. Katherine Knight allegedly told Washington police she was attempting to collect owed money.

Retail theft charge: Linsey R. Williams, 28, of 1090 Jefferson Ave., Washington, was charged by Washington police with retail theft for allegedly stealing $123 in clothing Sunday from Goodwill, 89 Jefferson Ave. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.

House entered: Charles Carpenter of 949 Arch St., Washington, reported to police Sunday someone broke open the door to his house while he was out of town. Carpenter said nothing was taken.

Gun stolen: A Prosperity man reported to state police a 9 mm handgun was stolen from his vehicle in the 200 block of Meadow Avenue between June 20 and June 24.
