Graysville artist’s stoneware piece featured at statewide exhibit in Harrisburg

Jim Winegar, a potter from Graysville and owner of Artbeat Gallery in Waynesburg, stands with his stoneware clay “Ode to Bernard Palissy” at the opening reception Sunday afternoon for the Art of the State exhibit at the State Museum of Pennsylvania in Harrisburg. Winegar’s piece was one of 122 chosen from 1,778 entries for the 49th juried exhibition presented by Jump Street and the State Museum of Pennsylvania. The show features established and emerging artists and craftspeople who live in Pennsylvania. Their works will be on display until Sept. 11 at the museum, 300 North St., Harrisburg.
