Assault arrest: Eric R. Huweart, 19, of 330 S. Ridge Road, Coal Center, was arrested Tuesday by California police on a warrant charging him with simple assault and harassment. He is accused of shoving a neighbor, Christopher Lincavage, into a door June 6 after being asked to leave Lincavage’s home at 329 S. Ridge. He was arraigned before District Judge Gary Havelka and released on $2,500 unsecured bond.

Man jailed: Arthur P. Benoit, 61, of 452 Hudson St., Monongahela, is charged by township police with retaliation against a witness or victim over allegations he threatened a victim in another case, Jamie Kray, about 11:10 a.m. June 19 at Eck’s Lounge, 1574 Fourth St., court records show. Benoit is in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond set Monday by District Judge Mark Wilson.

Stolen jewelry pawned: Amy R. Calvert, 34, of 794 Old National Pike, Donegal, was arraigned Thursday on two counts of receiving stolen property after she allegedly sold a ring valued at $5,500 and charm valued at $2,995 stolen from Audra Calvert, who resides at the same address. The items were reported stolen to Donegal police April 29. Amy Calvert allegedly sold the items at a Washington pawn shop for $140. She was arraigned before District Judge Gary Havelka and placed in Washington County jail on $2,500 bond.

DUI charge: Douglas D. Dickey, 64, of 180 Franklin Farms Road, North Franklin, was charged by North Franklin police with driving under the influence of alcohol after police said he was found May 13 slumped behind the wheel of his vehicle at Franklin Farms and West Chestnut Street. The airbags in his vehicle had deployed. Police said they had to carry him into the station, and his blood-alcohol content was 3 1/2 times the 0.08 percent limit at which intoxication is presumed. The charge was sent by summons Monday from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.

Marijuana, endangerment charges: William Kelley, 19, of 1621 Ridgewood Drive, North Franklin, was charged by township police with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia and endangering the welfare of children. Police were called to an apartment he shares with two other adults after getting a complaint from a neighbor about the odor of marijuana. An 8-year-old girl was in the apartment. Charges are pending against the other two adults. Kelley was charged by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.

Harassment alleged: Charles J. Morris, 54, of 200 Baltimore Ave., North Franklin, was charged last week by North Franklin police with possession of paraphernalia, harassment and public drunkenness. They were called to his home June 18 after he allegedly grabbed his wife, Rhonda Morris. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.

Assault on officers alleged: Jonathan Warrell, 21, of 139 Highland Ave., Claysville, was charged last week by North Strabane police with three counts of simple assault, four counts of harassment and one count each of aggravated assault, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct after he allegedly kicked one officer and assaulted two other officers and another man during a June 24 incident on Sandy Brae Drive. He also allegedly caused a disturbance at Canonsburg Hospital. Charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

DUI, other charges: William A. Lane, 32, of 43 Aylesworth Ave., East Washington, was charged Tuesday by North Strabane police with driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of marijuana and other charges stemming from a June 12 incident on Weavertown Road. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Marijuana, paraphernalia charges: Chacar Denyatta Berry, 18, of 709 Heslep Ave., Donora, was charged Tuesday by North Strabane police with possession with intent to deliver marijuana and possession of paraphernalia stemming from a June 6 traffic stop in the 2500 block of Washington Road. He allegedly admitted to police he had been selling marijuana. Charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Two charged: Kawan D. Wright, 24, of 109 Church St., Washington, and Corey D. Thacker, 21, of 324 E. Grant St., Houston, were charged Tuesday by North Strabane police stemming from a June 3 traffic stop on Racetrack Road near Interstate 79. Police said Wright initially gave his brother’s name and then learned he was wanted on a warrant. After he was taken to Washington County jail, police said he was found with suspected oxycodone, Xanax, marijuana and paraphernalia. He was charged with possession of contraband by a prisoner, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and paraphernalia, identity theft, false identification to police and having an open container of alcohol. Thacker, who was the driver, is charged with possession of marijuana, having an open container of alcohol and having no inspection sticker on his vehicle. The two were charged by summonses sent from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Woman charged: Hong Yun Zhang, 38, of Mary Lane, North Strabane, was charged last week by township police with simple assault and harassment for allegedly kicking and hitting Shaun Reid on June 23 during a confrontation at her home. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Fracas at hospital: Donald W. Adams, 46, of 427 Blue Jay Drive, North Strabane, was charged last week by state police with terroristic threats, simple assault, disorderly conduct, harassment and public drunkenness stemming from a June 17 incident. Police were initially called to 106 E. Pike St., Houston, for a disturbance involving Adams. Police said he was taken to Canonsburg Hospital because of his level of intoxication, and while at the emergency room, he threw himself on the floor. He was picked up and carried to a treatment room, where he allegedly threatened troopers and kicked one of them. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Jailed on warrant: Jonathan C. Eckstein, 48, of 308 Roupe Road, Eighty Four, was taken into custody about 11 a.m. Saturday on an out-of-county bench warrant following a traffic stop by North Strabane police on Weavertown Road near School Street. He also was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, reckless driving and driving with a suspended license. Police said his blood-alcohol content was almost three times the 0.08 percent limit at which intoxication is presumed. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Three charged: Eduardo Rippe, 19, of 74 Parklane Drive, Canonsburg; Dalton R. Fitch, 18, of 1519 Route 136, Eighty Four; and Joshua R. Wetzel, 18, of Castle Shannon, were charged last week by North Strabane police with loitering and prowling at night after they allegedly were found on private property earlier this month on Route 136. Wetzel also was charged with possession of marijuana. Charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Water line break: McDonald police said a crew from Pennsylvania-American Water Co. was called just before 2 a.m. Thursday after a water line broke in the 1200 block of Laurel Hill Road, Robinson, sending a geyser of water shooting into the air. The water washed out the pavement, causing the road and berm to collapse.

DUI crash: Marcus S. Pachel, 26, of Morgantown, W.Va., was charged last week by state police with driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to drive at a safe speed after he crashed on an icy bridge deck April 3 on Interstate 70 eastbound near the Murtland Avenue exit, South Strabane. Police said he refused to submit to a blood-alcohol test. Charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Theft arrest: Shawn Pusateri, 32, of 1451 Route 136, Eighty Four, was arrested Tuesday by South Strabane police on a charge of felony retail theft after he allegedly stole items from Home Depot, 255 Murtland Ave. He was arraigned before District Judge Gary Havelka and released.

Parked car hit: Paula Ralston, 54, of 220 Duke St., Washington, was taken to Washington Hospital, where blood was drawn to determine if she was under the influence, after she allegedly crashed her vehicle into a parked car in the 400 block of North Main Street on Wednesday, Washington police said.

Window broken: Fallon Kiber of 1030 Allison Ave. told Washington police the rear window of her vehicle was broken by vandals Wednesday.
