Vehicle scratched: Gary Slabick, 417 Ridge Ave., told police Monday his vehicle was scratched while parked in front of his home.

Driver injured: Joe Frye, 44, of Chester, W.Va., was injured when his vehicle crashed about 5 a.m. Saturday on Western Avenue (Route 519) near Allegheny Ludlum, Chartiers police said. Frye’s vehicle slid off the road and struck an embankment. He was taken to Washington Hospital for treatment.

Charged in chase: Michael Lewis Namit, 45, of 195 Grove Ave., Washington, was arrested Monday on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, fleeing or eluding police and several traffic violations after he reportedly fled from Donegal police during a Feb. 3 traffic stop on Route 40. The officer spotted him riding his motorcycle with one hand while holding a cellphone he was talking into with the other hand. When police tried to stop him, he turned into a parking lot, cut through it and went down a sidewalk to get back on Route 40. Namit laid down the bike and ran on foot to a camper park before he was caught by police. His blood-alcohol content was more than double the 0.08 legal limit. He was arraigned before District Judge Traci McDonald and placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.

PFA arrest: William T. Craigway, 60, of 201 McKean Ave., Donora, was arrested early Tuesday by Donora police for allegedly violating a protection from abuse order after he reportedly left more than 30 voice mail messages for Melissa Reece. He was arraigned before District Judge Traci McDonald and released on $5,000 unsecured bond.

Driver injured: David Galuppo, 87, of Coal Center, was injured Thursday afternoon when his vehicle struck a parked vehicle and then a utility pole on Route 88, Dunlevy. State police said he was going north when he swerved off the road. He was taken to Monongahela Valley Hospital for treatment.

Windshield damaged: Thomas J. Smith, 1 Spruce St., Ellsworth, told state police Sunday the windshield of his vehicle was damaged with a crow bar. Charges are pending.

Burglary arrest: James J. Woods, 703 Sixth St., Marianna, was arrested early Tuesday by state police after he reportedly burglarized a neighbor’s home at 707 Sixth. Brandon Howard told police he discovered the break-in when he returned home from work. Stolen from the residence were a plasma television, Stratocaster guitar, guitar amplifier and two sets of ratchets. Police found the stolen items at Woods’ home after matching his shoe prints to those left at the crime scene. Woods was arraigned before District Judge Traci McDonald on charges of burglary, theft, receiving stolen property and criminal mischief. He was placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.

Drug, DUI charges: Terrence L. Cohen, 27, of 580 Maple Terrace, Washington, and Richard E. Reed, 33, of 665 Ewing St., Washington, both face charges filed by state police stemming from a Jan. 1 traffic stop at Henderson and Jefferson avenues, Washington. Cohen is charged with possession of heroin and paraphernalia. Reed, who was the driver, is charged with DUI. Charges against the two were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.

Disorderly, drunkenness charges: Marisel Nieves Sanidago, 29, of 931 Crest Ave., Charleroi, was charged with disorderly conduct and public drunkenness after she reportedly created a disturbance at Washington Hospital Monday afternoon.
