Police: No arrests in death of man found shot in Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH (AP) – Police in Western Pennsylvania are investigating the death of a man found shot in a Pittsburgh street.

Officers were sent to the Perry South neighborhood of the city shortly before 8 p.m. Saturday and found the victim in the middle of the street with at least one gunshot wound.

Paramedics transported him to Allegheny General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead just before 8:30 p.m. Saturday.

The Allegheny County medical examiner’s office identified the victim as 53-year-old Michael Watson of East Pittsburgh.

Police spokeswoman Emily Schaffer said Sunday morning that no arrests had been made in the homicide.
