Faces charges: Harold Loar, 48, of Canton Township, faces charges including driving under the influence of alcohol after Canonsburg and Houston police said officers saw him crash into a car at East Pike Street and Greenside Avenue Wednesday and then flee. He was apprehended near the intersection of Weavertown and Morganza roads. Police said they found an open can of beer, marijuana pipe and two bags of suspected marijuana in his vehicle. He was taken to Canonsburg Hospital, where blood was drawn to determine his alcohol level.

Inhaler stolen: Jovnnie Sepulveda of Canonsburg told Canonsburg police Tuesday her daughter’s inhaler was stolen from the manager’s office at Wendy’s, 13 Cavasina Drive. She told police she gave the inhaler to a manager to keep for her daughter several weeks ago.

Man surrenders: Alek R. Wiger, 24, of McDonald, turned himself in to Canonsburg police early Thursday on a probation warrant. He reportedly told police he missed several meetings with his probation officer and was using heroin again, but wanted to straighten himself out. He was placed in Washington County jail.

Card accessed: Daniel Siksa of Lucia Drive told Canonsburg police Wednesday his credit card information was accessed and used to make six unauthorized purchases totaling $586.69.

Bicycle stolen: Durinda Patterson of 223 Valley View Terrace told Canonsburg police Wednesday her daughter’s bicycle was stolen from outside their home over the weekend.

Garage fire: Chartiers firefighters and police were called Wednesday to the home of Georgianna Gebhardt, 455 Hickory Ridge Road, for a report of smoke filling a garage. A small fire was found in the garage, police said.

Business burglarized: Cash was reported stolen in a burglary discovered Thursday morning at Site One Landscaping, 2445 W. Pike St., Chartiers police said. There was no sign of forced entry, but police said a door was found open.

Pole struck: Penny Nix, 53, of Fayette City, was issued a traffic citation after striking a gas pole in a single-vehicle accident Tuesday. According to state police, Nix was traveling north on Martindale Road near Coleridge Lane when she lost control of her vehicle, striking a Columbia Gas test station pole off the east berm. Nix suffered a minor injury but refused medical treatment.

DUI, other charges: Carl K. Hagedorn, 39, of 559 Potomac Drive, Washington, was charged Tuesday by North Strabane police with DUI, leaving the scene and careless driving after he allegedly drove up on the curb at Meadows Drive and Adios Lane on Feb. 26 and ran into objects in his path. Police said his blood-alcohol content was more than three times the 0.08 percent limit at which intoxication is presumed. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Leaving the scene charge: Andrew Berger, 42, of McKees Rocks, was charged Tuesday by North Strabane police with leaving the scene of a crash and driving with a suspended license after he allegedly hit another vehicle on Racetrack Road at the Interstate 79 off ramp Feb. 29 and failed to stop. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Contractor charged: William M. Morris Jr., 32, of 146 Broadmore Drive, Washington, was charged Tuesday by North Strabane police with home improvement fraud after he allegedly took $2,000 as a down payment to repair a furnace at a rental property in Glencannon and then didn’t do the work or refund the money to the property owner. He also allegedly refused to return calls to the property owner or police. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Resisting arrest charge: Lee Keener Jr., 34, unknown address, was charged with resisting arrest Monday at the Fairway Inn hotel on Route 981, after Rostraver police attempted to arrest him on outstanding warrants.

Retail theft charge: Brittany M. Moore, 25, of 470 Braznell Concrete Road, Grindstone, was charged by Rostraver police with possession of drug paraphernalia and retail theft following an incident Monday at Lowes, Belle Vernon.

Theft charges: William E. Dudgeon, 21, of 618 Fifth Street, Donora, was charged with criminal conspiracy to commit theft and receiving stolen property by Rostraver police stemming from a Feb. 25 incident at Walmart, Belle Vernon.

Possession charges: David Matthew Burnett, 28, of 296 Sutersville Road, West Newton, was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and obedience of traffic control devices after a March 3 incident on Route 51.

Possession charges: Stevie Ray Slavik, 24, of 321 Mathews Road, Belle Vernon, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness following an incident Thursday in Rostraver Apartments, 321 Mathews Road.

Vehicle charges: Robert Paul Derrickson III, 29, of 108 Mt. Pleasant Road, Belle Vernon, was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and driving with a suspended license following an incident Wednesday at GetGo, 108 Mt. Pleasant Road.

Assault charge: Loretta Tina Simms, 40, of 226 Washington Ave., Whitaker, was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct stemming from an incident Monday at Rostraver Apartments, 124 Mathews Road.

Charged in crash: Brady C. Murphy, 53, of 908 Oak St., Marianna, was charged Monday by state police with DUI and several traffic violations after his vehicle went into the median on Interstate 70 eastbound near Beau Street and rolled over. A witness told police the driver continued on, but the vehicle was found disabled a short distance from the crash scene. Police said Murphy’s BAC was almost three times the 0.08 percent limit at which intoxication is presumed.

Robbery, theft charges: Monet Wilson, 51, of 395 Donnan Ave., Washington, will be charged by Washington police with robbery and theft after she allegedly stole $17 from an autistic Washington man Wednesday afternoon in the 500 block of Jefferson Avenue. The alleged victim gave police a description, and she was found two blocks away. Police said they found the money stuffed in her bra. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.

Burglary arrest: Travis Wolfe, 25, of 172 Prigg Road, Canton Township, was arrested Wednesday by Washington police on a charge of burglary after he was identified by a witness as the man who entered the home of Sherman Ackley at 214 1/2 Wilson Ave. Ackley told police he and his wife came home to find their grill at the end of a walk and items that had been in a storage room stacked up near the front door. Wolfe also will be charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after Washington County jail officials said they found the drug-related items in his backpack. He was arraigned on the burglary charge before District Judge James Ellis and placed in jail on $25,000 bond.

Man assaulted: Robert James of Washington told Washington police Wednesday night he was walking on East Walnut Street near North College Street when a vehicle stopped behind him. He said three men got out, and one of them hit him with a metal object. Then one of the three yelled, “It isn’t him,” and the men got back in the vehicle and fled. James was treated at the scene.
