A Washington woman is in jail awaiting sentencing after she was found guilty on Tuesday of selling heroin to a police informant.

A Washington County jury found Pamala Hasson, 40, guilty on charges of felony delivery of heroin and possession of heroin. Hasson sold eight stamp bags to a confidential informant working for the Washington County Drug Task for $80 in May, the Washington County district attorney’s office said.

Task force Detective Jonathan Miller wrote that police already suspected Hasson was involved in drug sales before detectives followed their informant to a parking lot on East Wylie Avenue, where the informant purchased heroin from Hasson in a controlled buy.

Following the guilty verdict, Judge Michael Lucas revoked Hasson’s previous release and set bail at $25,000 cash. She was remanded to Washington County jail to await sentencing. A sentencing hearing is set for May 24.
