WAYNESBURG – Seven criminal defendants were entered into the accelerated rehabilitative disposition program last week by Greene County Judge Louis Dayich.

Those accepted into the program must serve at least one year probation and pay all fines and costs. Defendants charged with driving under the influence of alcohol also may have their driving privileges suspended and be required to refrain from the use or possession of alcohol.

Those who successfully complete the program can petition the court to have their criminal records expunged.

Bruce William Gellner, 60, of 122 Ely Ave., Waynesburg, charged with driving under the influence of alcohol; arrested Nov. 24, after his vehicle struck a house at the corner of Linden Alley and Ely Avenue in Franklin Township, Gellner had a blood-alcohol content level of .160 percent.

Brittany Alexis Faye Elli, 24, of 411 Creek Road, Greensboro, charged with DUI and a summary traffic violation; arrested Oct. 5, after her vehicle crashed into a tree in Mather, Elli had a BAC of .218 percent.

Travis Alan Barlow, 37, of 163 W. Elm St., Waynesburg, charged with simple assault and harassment; on Sept. 18, Barlow assaulted a woman at his home. He was entered into the program for 6 months.

Corey Allen McCartney, 19, of 5 Circle St., Mather, charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana; on April 9, McCartney was found with marijuana at the Greene County Career and Technology Center. He was entered into the program for 6 months.

Zachary Jordan Miller, 21, of 29 Sokols Hill Road, Fredericktown, charged with DUI and a summary violation; arrested Oct. 4, after his vehicle struck a pole on Route 21 in Franklin Township, he had a BAC of .168 percent.

Edward James Wilkins, 24, of 148 Maple St., Carmichaels, charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia; on Sept. 11, during a sobriety check point in Cumberland Township, Wilkins was in possession of a pill container with 20 individually packaged baggies of marijuana inside.

Joshua Mark Confer, 26, of 420 High St., Lockhaven, charged with DUI and two summary violations; arrested July 19, he had a BAC of .140 percent.
