Washington man said teen fired shot at him
A Washington man told Washington police Thursday night a teen fired a shot at him while he and several other teens were behind a Jefferson Avenue business.
Police said Alex Comer, 22, reported three teens lured him behind a business off Jefferson and West Wylie Avenue to smoke marijuana. According to Comer, once behind the business, the youngest in the group pulled out a handgun. The teen reportedly fired in the air before firing a shot in Comer’s direction, police said.
Comer ran and called police. Officers found three 9 mm shell casings at the rear of 1025 Jefferson. Several teenagers matching the description were found at a nearby business. Police talked with them, got their information and released them.
Police said the investigation is continuing.
