Body found in city; no foul play suspected
A 57-year-old Washington man died after falling from a walkway at 50 W. Maiden St. in the city.
Washington County Coroner S. Timothy Warco said John E. Halliwell, apparently fell 17 feet and his body was found in a window well between two buildings about 8 a.m. Saturday. He was pronounced dead at 8:45 a.m. It is not known when Halliwell fell.
Washington police are investigating Halliwell’s death, but Warco said it does not appear suspicious.
City firefighters and Ambulance and Chair of Washington assisted city police.
