Fire extinguished at Westland home

Mt. Pleasant Township firefighters were called about 6:13 a.m. Monday for a fire in the kitchen of a Westland home.

The fire at 85 First St. was quickly put out with a fire extinguisher. Damage was contained to that room.

Assisting at the scene were firefighters from Houston, McDonald and Midway.
