Washington pharmacy robbed
Washington police are investigating a robbery Sunday afternoon of a pharmacy on Jefferson Avenue in Tylerdale.
A biracial man wearing a dark gray hooded shirt and black pants walked into Rite Aid, 1001 Jefferson, at 1:42 p.m. and told a clerk that he wanted $200 or he would shoot. The clerk called over a manager, who opened the cash register and handed the robber 10 $20 bills.
Store employees told police that the robber never took his hands out of the pockets of his pants until he grabbed the money and ran out the door, turning right. Police said no weapon was seen.
The robber is 5 feet, 7 inches tall, has a thin build and is in his early to mid 20s. He also may have a goatee.
