McKees Rocks man wanted in Charleroi armed robbery
CHARLEROI – A McKees Rocks man is wanted by Charleroi Regional police on charges he assaulted and robbed his roommate at gunpoint in their borough residence last month.
District Judge Larry Hopkins Monday issued a warrant for the arrest of Bobby Frank Kirkland Jr., 24, stemming from an alleged incident April 29 at 206 Meadow Ave., court records show.
Kirkland is accused of striking Lori Fike twice in the head with a handgun before he held the weapon to her head while stealing $900 and two cellphones from her purse, police stated in the affidavit supporting the criminal complaint.
The assault resulted in the breaking of Fike’s eyeglasses and her seeking treatment for a broken nose at Mon Valley Hospital, police said.
Kirkland also is wanted for a parole violation in Westmoreland County, court records showed.
He is facing charges in the Charleroi case of robbery, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, theft, receiving stolen property and criminal mischief.
