Contraband at county jail: Ashley N. Yoders, 27, of Maidsville, W.Va., was charged Monday with possession of a controlled substance and contraband after state police said she mailed suboxone to an inmate at Greene County jail Nov. 4.

Theft charge: James E. Virgili, 43, of 51 Short St., Mather, was charged with theft after state police said he took various two weedeaters from a Fifth Street residence April 24. Virgili told investigators he thought the law equipment was junk, although they had been placed near in the yard near a vehicle, according to court documents.

Gate damaged: Hinges were broken on a farm gate at 149 Moonlight Drive between 10 p.m. Saturday and 5 p.m. Sunday, state police. The victim was not identified. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call state police at 724-627-6151.
