EAST PITTSBURGH (AP) – A high school student and a police officer have found a missing 3-year-old Pennsylvania boy following a four-hour search that included police, neighbors, firefighters and a helicopter.

The mother of Kymir Woods notified police around 3 p.m. Sunday that her toddler had gone missing from his East Pittsburgh home, about 10 miles east of Pittsburgh.

The high schooler who says he helped find the boy tells WTAE-TV Kymir had been hanging from a vine on a hillside near a neighborhood playground. He tells KDKA-TV he spotted the boy’s yellow jacket among the bushes and trees.

Allegheny County Housing Police Chief Mike Vogel says the boy appeared to be in a daze.

The boy was taken to an area hospital. He didn’t sustain any serious injuries.
