Liquor citation issued: DVE Inc., 1325 Water St., was cited April 27 for multiple alleged violations, including failure to post signs required by the Clean Indoor Air Act, failure to clean beverage dispenser at least every seven days, operating without a valid health permit, failure to require patrons to vacate after cessation of alcoholic beverage service, failure to maintain records and allowing smoking where smoking is prohibited. The charges will be brought before an administrative law judge.

Assault charges: Avery Allmond, 20, of Brownsville, and Seirra Barrett, 19, of Monaca, were charged with simple assault and harassment in connection with an incident April 23 at Vulcan Village apartments. The two allegedly were involved in a physical altercation.

Woman bilked: Tanasia Henderson-Gun of Valley View Terrace told Canonsburg police Sunday she sent money after buying a used cellphone on Craigslist but never received the phone. When she contacted the number on the ad, she was reportedly told she was not getting the phone.

Fleeing and eluding charges: State police charged Mark Allen Yohe Jr., 22, of 381 Buckingham Road, Fredericktown, Saturday on charges including fleeing and attempting to elude police and DUI. According to a criminal complaint, Yohe was driving erratically on National Pike and fled when state police attempted to stop him. He eventually wrecked, rolling the car onto its roof. Yohe was taken to Washington Hospital for treatment and to have blood drawn. He was arraigned Saturday before District Judge James Ellis and released on his own recognizance. Yohe has a preliminary hearing May 20 before District Judge Joshua Kanalis.

Drug charges: Joshua Lance Wardlaw, 21, of 202 Donora Road, Carroll Township, was arrested by Charleroi Regional police Saturday and charged with manufacturing, delivery or possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police were sent to 617 Crest Ave. to pick up a wanted man. When they arrived, they said they found 470 stamp bags of heroin under the mattress used by Wardlaw. He was arraigned Saturday before District Judge James Ellis and jailed on $50,000 bond. Wardlaw has a preliminary hearing May 20 before District Judge Larry Hopkins.

Firearms charges: The Washington County Drug Task Force arrested Trey Zachary Holmes, 20, of 1115 Miller St., Monessen, on Saturday for allegedly attempting to sell a stolen firearm. According to a criminal complaint, Holmes tried to sell the weapon to a member of the drug task force in Donora. Holmes was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm with its manufacturing numbers altered and carrying a firearm without a permit. He was arraigned Saturday by District Judge James Ellis and jailed on $50,000 bond. Holmes has a preliminary hearing May 20 before District Judge Mark Wilson.

Drug, no license charges: Anthony J. Hettenchulter, 19, of 1003 Spring St., McDonald, was charged Monday by McDonald police with possession of marijuana, driving without a license and having no inspection or registration stemming from a March 3 traffic stop on North Street. He reportedly told police his mother told him to take the vehicle, and that she would meet him at a church.

Heroin possession: Tori Ann Carlin, 21, of 224 Fannie St., was charged by McDonald police after she allegedly was found with suspected heroin and paraphernalia at her home Saturday. Police said they were called by Carlin’s mother, who reported seeing the items in her daughter’s purse.

Hit-and-run: Kelly Bowland of 1209 Laurel Hill Road, McDonald, told McDonald police her car was sideswiped about 7:30 p.m. Sunday outside her home by a silver pickup truck. She said the driver of the truck stopped briefly but then fled after seeing her coming toward the truck.

Grass damaged: The owner of Jay’s Pizza, 114 E. Lincoln Ave., told McDonald police Friday newly planted grass along the side of his repaired parking lot had been turfed, doing about $600 in damage.

Liquor violation filed: Hart’s Restaurant & Lounge, 112 Third St., was cited April 27 for furnishing alcohol after hours, between 2 a.m. and 7 a.m. Charges will be brought before an administrative law judge.

Accident: A 17-year-old from Claysville was traveling east on Interstate 70 about 7:45 a.m. Saturday when the left rear tire on the vehicle the teen was driving broke apart, police said. The driver lost control of the vehicle, and it hit a traffic sign and rolled onto its roof. The driver was not injured.

Hoverboards stolen: Two Driftbot hoverboards, valued at $500 each, were reported stolen Saturday from the driveway of a residence in the 100 block of Venetia Road.

Possession charges: Jodie L. Hans, 23, of 140 Fairfield Drive, Monessen, was charged by Rostraver police after a traffic stop at 9:30 a.m. Saturday. According to the complaint, officers found marijuana, cocaine, drug paraphernalia and $700 in her vehicle. She is charged with two counts of possession with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to obey traffic-control devices.

Minor contact alleged: Zackery R. Shutterfly, 26, of 406 Todd Farm Road, Belle Vernon, was charged Thursday with possessing obscene sexual materials, criminal use of a communication facility and unlawful contact with a minor after allegedly sending numerous sexually explicit text messages to a minor.

Retail theft charges: Christopher Pastore, 36, of 902 Old West Road, Bentleyville, was arrested Saturday at Walmart, Trinity Point, by South Strabane police on charges of retail theft and theft by deception for allegedly stealing $106.29 in merchandise from the store. He then re-entered the store and attempted to make a fraudulent return, according to a criminal complaint. Pastore was jailed by District Judge James Ellis on $2,500 bond. He has a preliminary hearing May 20 before District Judge Jay Weller.

Retail theft arrest: Yvonne Marie Cerminara, 56, of 159 Gateshead Drive, McMurray, was arrested Saturday by South Strabane police and charged with retail theft. According to a criminal complaint, Cerminara had $119.44 worth of merchandise in her purse at the Giant Eagle in Strabane Square. Cerminara was arraigned Saturday before District Judge James Ellis, who released her on her own recognizance. She has a preliminary hearing May 20 before District Judge Jay Weller.

Terroristic threats charge: City police arrested Eric Koch, 56, of 1040 Summerlea Ave., Washington, for allegedly threatening his neighbor Saturday. According to a criminal complaint, Koch was upset the neighbor’s car was parked in front of is house. Koch allegedly said if his neighbor didn’t move his vehicle, which was legally parked, he would shoot him in the head. Koch was arraigned Saturday before District Judge James Ellis, who released him on his own recognizance. Koch has a preliminary hearing May 20 before District Judge Robert Redlinger.

Food stamp card stolen: Angela Dissnell of 15 N. Main St. told Washington police Friday her food stamp card and identification were stolen.

Fire reported: Eva Gilbert of 670 Jefferson Ave. told Washington police Sunday afternoon she saw a woman lift a window screen at her home, light a fire and run. Police are investigating. There was damage to the window area.

Door kicked: Raelan Day of 765 Henderson Ave. told Washington police her basement door was kicked in Sunday.

Security camera stolen: Sherman Ackley of 214 1/2 Wilson Ave. told Washington police Friday a security camera was stolen from his porch.

Tires slashed: Shaanell Walden of 58 Sumner Ave. told Washington police Sunday two tires were slashed on her vehicle. Neighbors reported seeing several people around her vehicle.

Tank damaged: Jessica Gregg of 147 Brookside Ave. told Washington police Saturday a substance was poured into the gas tank of her vehicle. A purple substance was found on the side of the vehicle near the tank.
