Canton man accused of sex assault
A Canton Township man was arrested Monday by state police after he allegedly had inappropriate contact with a young boy several times at various locations in the township over a six-year period.
Rudy Fransisco Davila, 19, of 696 McCarrell Ave., was arraigned before District Judge David Mark on charges of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and indecent assault.
The parents of the boy, who is now 8, contacted state police in December about their son being sexually assaulted by Davila.
A forensic interview of the boy was conducted the following day at the Child Advocacy Center at Washington Hospital.
He told the interviewer that Davila had done something “gross” to him and related what the 19-year-old had allegedly done.
He also claimed Davila told him that he would hurt him if he told.
The boy also told the interviewer Davila made him do it. He said he was 7 years old at the time of the last alleged assault, which reportedly occurred at a home on Caldwell Avenue.
Davila is in Washington County jail on $100,000 bond. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on June 1 before Mark.
