Club names girl of the month for May
CARMICHAELS – The Carmichaels Area Women’s Civic Club has named Journie Crutchman, a senior at Carmichaels Area High School, girl of the month for May.
Crutchman of Carmichaels is a daughter of Richard and Springhill Crutchman.
She is a vice president of the National Honor Society, copy/design and proofing editor for the school newspaper, varsity softball player, a member of Big Brother-Big Sister and part of the Book Club and Art Club.
Crutchman also is a volunteer at St. Hugh Roman Catholic Church.
She plans to attend a four-year college or university to study primary education or history.
