Two junior high girls cited suspended, cited for tainted treats
FORD CITY (AP) – Two girls who put dishwashing liquid and dead skin in baked treats for students visiting a western Pennsylvania junior high school have been suspended and cited for disorderly conduct.
State police aren’t identifying the Armstrong Junior/Senior High School students involved because of their ages.
Principal Kirk Lorigan tells WTAE-TV the girls were baking cookies and making Rice Krispies Treats on Tuesday for some sixth graders who were visiting the girls’ home economics class. The dead skin put into the treats came from one of the girls’ knees.
The incident happened Tuesday, but wasn’t reported by police until Thursday.
The treats were thrown away before anybody ate them, and police say the girls acknowledged what they did.
