Man dies after van pins him
A Centerville Borough man died Sunday while working beneath a vehicle outside his home.
Nixon Richard O’Neil, 58, of Denbo Avenue, Brownsville, was working underneath his van when it rolled backward and pinned him beneath it.
Washington County Coroner Tim Warco said the accident happened at 11 a.m. and O’Neil was pronounced dead at 12:17 p.m.
The exact cause and manner of death were pending. The incident is under investigation by state police.
Assisting police were firefighters from Denbo, Vesta No. 6, East Bethlehem Township and Richeyville and personnel from Brownsville and Fayette EMS.
