NEVILLE ISLAND, (AP) – State police are investigating after the body of a man was found in the Ohio River just west of Pittsburgh.

Ohio Township police Chief Norbert Micklos says boaters discovered the body late Monday morning.

The body was found near Neville Island and firefighters were able to pull the body from the river.

Miklos says his department turned over the investigation to state police.

The Allegheny County medical examiner was also investigating, but didn’t immediately release an identity or cause of death.
