Greene County Court cases
WAYNESBURG – A number of criminal defendants pleaded guilty last week before Greene County Judge Louis Dayich.
Michael Jon Ulrich, 26, of 1705 Morris St., Waynesburg; offenses – possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia; arrested Jan. 28, 2015 on a bench warrant, Ulrich had 29 stamp bags of heroin, a syringe and other items; sentence – 19 days to 23 ½ months in jail; 200 hours of community service; special conditions: drug and alcohol evaluation, inpatient treatment.
Joshua John Maraney, 25, of 131-A Alicia Main St., Greensboro; offenses – criminal mischief, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, driving while his operator’s privileges were suspended or revoked, three summary violations; on Sept. 19, Maraney drove a car through the gate of Rices Landing Boat Club; he was found sleeping in the vehicle; the car was owned by his father and he had no permission to drive it; sentence – 4 to 33 ½ months in jail, credit for time served; $2,900 in restitution, $200 fine, 150 hours of community service.
Jesse Jay Jenkins, 23, of 611 Brownsferry Road, Carmichaels; offenses – corruptions of minors, indecent assault, selling or furnishing alcoholic beverages to a minor; charges of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, aggravated indecent assault and unlawful contact with a minor were withdrawn; on Oct. 20, Jenkins engaged in sexual acts with a 13-year-old girl in Crucible after providing her with beer and marijuana; sentence – deferred pending evaluation to determine if he is a sexually violent predator; the order acknowledges that under the plea agreement, he will receive 11 ½ to 47 ½ months in jail.
Gerald Ray Miller, 47, of 10203 Standing Stone Road, Huntingdon; driving under the influence of alcohol, driving while his operating privileges were suspended or revoked; arrested Jan. 21, 2015, he had a blood-alcohol content of .185 percent; sentence – 90 days to 5 years in jail, weekend sentence, $1,800 in fines.
Kelsy Marie Kashycki, 25, of 200 King Road, McDonald; offense – retail theft; on Dec. 31, 2014, she attempted to steal items valued at $90.42 from the Walmart in Franklin Township; sentence – 2 years of probation, $50 fine, 150 hours of community service.
Robert Albert Pierce, 27, of 157-B Washington St., Jefferson; offenses – theft; on Nov. 14, Pierce stole about $400 from his mother’s store, Purse-n-ality Creations, in Waynesburg; sentence – 104 days to 23 ½ months in jail, credit for time served from Jan. 26; 100 hours of community service, drug and alcohol assessment.
Ashley Nichole Cornish, 24, of 330 Holbert Stretch, Dilliner; offenses – retail theft, receiving stolen property; on Oct. 19, she attempted to steal a pair of jeans from the Fashion Shop in Waynesburg; sentence – 1 year of probation, $50 fine, 50 hours of community service.
Alexander Huffman, 22, of 4 Carlisle St., Uniontown; offenses – escape, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct; on Jan. 28, Huffman fled when Waynesburg police attempted to arrest him on a warrant; sentence – 34 days to 23 ½ months in jail, credit for 34 days served; $150 in fines, 100 hours of community service.
William Presher, 26, of 27 Route 88 Mobile Home Park, Carmichaels; offenses – accidents involving damage to an attended vehicle or property, failure to provide information or render aid, driving while his operating privileges were suspended or revoked, five other summary violations; Presher was arrested Oct. 31, after he failed to stop following a crash on Pershing Boulevard in Cumberland Township; sentence – 70 days to 1 year in jail, credit for time served from April 9, $3,325 in fines; 100 hours of community service.
Jennifer Lee Palmer, 33, of 156 Washington St., Jefferson; offenses – retail theft, resisting arrest; on Oct. 19, Palmer attempted to steal items valued at $58.76 from Walmart; on Feb. 27, she fled police when they attempted to arrest her on a warrant; sentence – 64 days to 1 year in jail, credit for 64 days served, $150 in fines, 100 hours of community service.
Jackie Carmela Stacy, 35, of 137 Long St., Rices Landing; offense – theft; charges of identity theft and access device fraud were withdrawn; between March 21 and 30, 2015, Stacy used another person’s credit/debit card to withdraw $3,517.50 in cash; sentence – 5 years of probation, $100 fine, 225 hours of community service.
Joseph Allen Lilley, 22, of 123-A Fairview Ave., Waynesburg; offenses – theft from a motor vehicle, receiving stolen property, conspiracy; on Oct. 20, 2014, he and another man stole items from several vehicles on North West Street, Waynesburg; sentence – 1 year of probation, 100 hours of community service. Lilley had been removed from the ARD program because of a violation.
Christopher C. Jacobs, 27, of 225 Robinwood Ave., Elmira Heights, N.Y.; offenses – DUI, second offense in 10 years, and a summary traffic violation; following a traffic stop Sept. 11, he refused a blood-alcohol test; sentence – 5 years in the county intermediate punishment program with the first 90 days in house arrest, $2,525 in fines.
