Police: Pennsylvania casino winner followed, robbed by man
UPPER DARBY (AP) – Police say a man followed a woman home after she won nearly $7,000 at a Pennsylvania casino, then pushed her to the ground and stole the money.
Thirty-seven-year-old Gary Taylor, of Philadelphia, is jailed on robbery and other charges following the Saturday night incident in Upper Darby.
The Delaware County Daily Times reports the woman won $6,692 at Harrah’s Casino in Chester and then stopped at a grocery store on her way home.
That’s where police say Taylor confronted the 59-year-old woman, said “Give me that,” then ripped the purse out of her hand while she had groceries in another.
Police gave police a description of Taylor’s car and they found him a short time later with the cash stuffed into his pants.
Online court records don’t list a defense attorney.
