District judges recertified
Two Washington County district judges were recertified for service as members of the state’s Unified Judicial System after successfully completing continuing legal education course work.
District judges Gary Havelka and Jay Weller recently completed the week-long instruction program that covers a variety of legal topics and management techniques. Havelka hears cases from Burgettstown and Midway and Cross Creek, Hanover, Jefferson and Smith townships. Weller hears cases from North and South Strabane townships and East Washington.
