PennDOT announces maintenance schedule for week of May 23

The state Department of Transportation announced the tentative work schedule for state roads in Greene County for the week beginning Monday.

Maintenance activities are conducted weather-permitting. Motorists should drive with caution through all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring headlights, Greene County Maintenance Manager Jerry Simkovic said.

• Bridge replacement work will be conducted on state Route 1017 in Cumberland Township.

• Bridge flushing will be done on various routes, including Interstate 79 and Route 218.

• Shoulder stabilization work will be done on Route 218 and state Route 3014 in Center, Wayne, Franklin and Jackson townships.

• Spray patching on potholes will be completed on various routes.

• Base and drainage repairs will be done on various routes in Dunkard Township and on Route 4007 in Richhill Township.

• Brush cutting and litter pick up will be conducted on Route 218 in Franklin and Wayne townships.

• Seal coating will be completed on various routes in Jackson, Gilmore, Wayne and Richhill townships.

• Signs will be updated, downed signs will be replaced and concerns addressed on various state roads throughout the county.
