DUI checkpoint planned: State police in Waynesburg announced troopers will conduct a driving with under the influence checkpoint at an undisclosed location in Greene County between May 25 and June 1.

Dirt bike chase: Matthew S. Toland, 24, of 340 S. Blackberry Ave., Waynesburg, was charged Tuesday with eluding police after Waynesburg police said he led officers on a brief chase around the borough March 1 while riding a dirt bike. Toland also faces numerous traffic citations for the incident.
