Canonsburg sets Memorial Day services, parade

The Mothers of Democracy program at Canon-McMillan Middle School will kick off the annual Memorial Day services and parade in Canonsburg.

The program will begin at 8:15 a.m. with an invocation, raising of the flag and remarks by Mayor David Rhome and state Sen. Camera Bartolotta. Members of VFW Post 553 will place a wreath, and the Veterans Honor Guard from VFW Post 191 will play taps.

The parade will begin at 9 a.m. at Greenside Avenue and Pike Street, with Bartolotta as parade marshal. It will continue to Oak Spring Cemetery for services.
