Fort Pitt Tunnel inbound to close overnight Monday
The Fort Pitt Tunnel inbound to Pittsburgh will close Monday night into Tuesday morning to accommodate painting and tile cleaning operations, according to District 11 of Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. The closing of Interstate 376 into the tunnel will begin at 9 p.m. Monday and end at 6 a.m. Tuesday.
The work is part of a $14.17 million project that includes removal of the tunnel ceiling, relocation of CCTV cameras and temperature monitors, and repairs to the walls and air duct arch.
