Ortitay to offer veterans services on Memorial Day

State Rep. Jason Ortitay, R-South Fayette Township, is bringing a Veterans Mobile Van to Bridgeville on from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Memorial Day. The van, run by the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, will provide assistance to veterans on everything from health care to benefits.

During the parade, accredited veterans services officers will provide information and assistance to veterans and family members who may be eligible for benefits through the DMVA. Such benefits might include service-connected disability compensation, improved pensions, death pensions, VA health care benefits, burial benefits, education benefits, vocational rehabilitation and much more. The van will be parked at Burgh’s Pizza and Wing Pub, located at 533 Washington Ave.
