PennDOT issues work schedule for next week

The state Department of Transportation has announced the tentative work schedule for Greene County roads for the week of May 30.

Maintenance activities are conducted weather-permitting. Motorists should drive with caution through all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring headlights, Greene County Maintenance Manager Jerry Simkovic said.

• Bridge replacement work will be done on state Route 1017 in Jefferson and Cumberland townships.

• Bridge flushing will be completed on various routes in the eastern Greene County.

• Shoulder grading will be conducted on Route 218 in Center, Wayne, Franklin and Jackson townships.

• Spray patching potholes will be done on various routes throughout the county.

• Base and drainage repairs will be made on state Route 4007 in Richhill and Gray townships, state Route 4015 in Morris Township and state Route 2002 in Dunkard Township.

• Ditch cleaning will be conducted on state Route 3013 in Wayne Township

• State roads will be checked and signs will be updated; downed signs will be replaced and other concerns addressed on various state roads throughout the county.
