District Judge James C. Eliis has again been certified for service as a member of the state’s Unified Judicial System after completing continuing education course work held in Harrisburg.

The week-long program is designed to ensure that district judges remain current in a variety of legal topics and management techniques needed to fairly adjudicate cases and effectively supervise a district court office.

Ellis hears cases from Nottingham,Peters and Union townships and Finleyville.
