Mapletown to graduate 42 seniors Wednesday evening
Mapletown High School will graduate 42 seniors during its commencement ceremony at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the high school gymnasium.
The valedictorians are Emily Blaker and Lauren Sanetrik, and the salutatorian is Mathew Rush.
Sanetrik, the daughter of Deborah Bice and Brian Sanetrik, achieved highest honors, was senior class president, a member of National Honor Society and SADD, and played volleyball and basketball. She plans to attend Waynesburg University to study nursing.
Blaker, the daughter of Mark and Hope Blaker, achieved highest honors, was National Honor Society president, a member of The Future is Mine National Honor Society, received the Challenge Program Community Service Award, was a Carmichaels Lions Club Student of the Month and played softball and volleyball. She plans to attend Penn State-Fayette to study psychology.
Rush, the son of Jenny and Jeff Rush, achieved highest honors, was a member of the National Honor Society and played baseball and football. He plans to attend Lake Erie College in Ohio to student criminal justice.
