Langeloth man jailed on rape charge

A Langeloth man was placed in Washington County Jail Tuesday on charges he raped a 14-year-old girl.
Michael L. Tustin, 36, of 216 Old Oak Ave., is accused of sexually assaulting the girl several times over the course of a year at a house in Smith Township.
Smith Township police filed charges of rape, three counts of statutory sexual assault, two counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, two counts of endangering the welfare of children, aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault and corruption of minors Tuesday at the office of District Judge Gary Havelka. He was placed in Washington County Jail on $25,000 bond. A preliminary hearing before Havelka is scheduled for Nov. 17.
