Structure destroyed: Fire destroyed a shed on Hawkins Street after midnight Thursday. State police are asking anyone with information to call 724-223-2093.
Warrant arrests: Larry Bolling, 23, of 329 Main St., Belle Vernon, and Samantha J. Falkenstine, 22, of 626 Twilight Drive, West Newton, were placed in Washington County Jail Wednesday on arrest warrants in connection with entering an apartment and raiding a refrigerator at Char House, 251 Ninth St., on Aug. 8. Bolling, jailed on two $50,000 bonds, is charged with burglary, criminal trespass, theft and conspiracy. Falkenstine, on $50,000 bond, is charged with criminal trespass and conspiracy. Preliminary hearings are scheduled on Nov. 17 before District Judge Larry Hopkins.
Paraphernalia charge: Danyelle Deditch, 18, of Scenery Hill, faces a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia after state police said they responded to a call of a suspicious vehicle Tuesday in the 300 block of Piper Road and found her with paraphernalia.
Assault charge: Michelle Lee Plants, 46, of Claysville, faces a charge of simple assault after she allegedly got into a fight with a 16-year-old girl at a home at 130 Spruce Road, East Finley, on Saturday and struck her in the face with her fist, state police said.
Attempted burglary: State police said an attempt was made to enter a residence at 80 Valley View Road, Nottingham Township, on Tuesday by stepping on a pipe outside a back window. The bracket holding the pipe was damaged.
Theft charges: Joshua B. Lucas, 25, of 16 Washington St., Latrobe, and Gabrielle M. Cifaldi, 22, of 1406 Pennsylvania Ave., West Mifflin, were charged Wednesday by Rostraver police for allegedly stealing a food saver and attempting to return it for cash to Walmart, 100 Sara Way. Lucas is charged with retail theft and receiving stolen property and Cifaldi is charged with theft by deception and receiving stolen property. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Joseph Dalfonso.
Robbery charges: Matthew D. Suckfiel, 42, of 2818 Riverview Ave., McKeesport, and Kelley D. Galla, 37, of 2886 Washington Boulevard, McKeesport, were placed in Washington County Jail Wednesday for allegedly taking almost $700 worth of merchandise from Lowe’s, 355 Washington Road. According to township police, an employee was bitten by Galla while trying to prevent them from leaving. Police found the merchandise, several stamp bags of suspected heroin and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle in which they were attempting to flee. Suckfiel, jailed on $15,000 bond, is charged with robbery, retail theft, criminal conspiracy, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Galla, jailed on $20,000 bond, is charged with aggravated assault, robbery, retail theft, criminal conspiracy, disorderly conduct, harassment, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Item stolen: A resident of the 300 block of Burton Avenue reported to Washington police a decorative metal milk box was taken from her porch Wednesday afternoon.
