Two charged in fight: Cumberland Township police charged Michelle Deems, 45, and Aaron P. Deems, 39, both of 405 Sherman Ave., Nemacolin, with simple assault and harassment following a fight in their home about 9 p.m. Wednesday, according to court documents. Both were taken to the Greene County Jail while awaiting arraignment Thursday morning. Michelle Deems was released on $2,500 unsecured bond, while Aaron Deems was being held on $5,000 bond, court records indicate.

Theft charge: Michael A. Rickard, 24, of 133 Dunn Station Road, Prosperity, and Richard L. Gump, 50, of 354 W. High St., Waynesburg, were charged with theft Wednesday after state police said they took three car jacks Aug. 14 from Morris Tire Service at 948 N. Eighty-Eight Road in Jefferson Township. Police said the three jacks were worth a combined $1,725.

Theft charge: Justin Cheyenne Richter, 29, of 365 Browns Creek Road, Waynesburg, was charged with theft from a motor vehicle after state police said he took a lunch box containing a cellphone worth $800 from a work truck parked along Route 18 near Browns Creek Road in Washington Township on Sept. 14. Police said they recovered the lunch box and cellphone from Richter later that day and returned them to the owner.
