Donora neighbors tell of bloody brawl outside Chubs Pub
DONORA – Donora neighbors said Saturday a bloody assault took place early that morning outside of their residences during a brawl involving as many as 30 people after they poured out of a local bar.
Resident Kevin Smith said a man was reportedly stabbed repeatedly about 1:15 a.m. after he was thrown onto a vehicle parked outside of Chubs Pub at 107 Castner Ave.
He said another victim was stabbed in the wrist and then pushed into bushes and everyone scattered when borough police arrived.
“There is blood everywhere,” Smith said.
Police confirmed the stabbings, saying a report on the incident had yet to be prepared. Donora Mayor Don Pavelko could not be reached Saturday. No one answered the phone at the bar Saturday evening.
Another neighbor, who declined to identify herself, gave a description of the brawl that matched Smith’s accounts.
